In Responsibility for Who You Are
Love can transform society, from the inside-out. It involves transformation into who you are, in respect and dignity for yourself and everyone else. I experience this every day in the Positive iMPACT Movement.
Love entails giving and receiving, being open-hearty showing yourself as who you are. None to hide. Expressing everything there is, everything you are, through your words, your presence,… through your being and doing.
Some might call this being vulnerable. I consider that it goes beyond vulnerability because you are not only expressing what you think, but you are giving yourself to others.
Not everyone is ready to give or receive from whom they are. We’ve been raised to build a shield around us to avoid confrontation, to avoid hurting ourselves and others, and ultimately, for you not to discover the power of who you are.
By being who you are, you recognise your values, you grow your integrity for who you are, you enhance your self-value and self-respect and through them, the respect and dignity for everyone else, no matter who they are and what they do. Being who you are is for you to learn from yourself and to unlearn and drop off what does not align to you anymore. Being who you are requires continuous observation, self-compassion and adjustment. It is unmasking yourself, breaking the shield that has kept you away from yourself to discover the amazing potential that you are by being perfectly imperfect.
Society needs transformation. Society needs you. The world needs you to be who you are to discover yourself, in freedom and dignity. Everything starts from within! Even a socially-conscious world where everyone is free and safe to be who they are and create what they love. Don’t expect for others to be and do what you can be and do today. Change starts from within! Your transformation and that of society is your responsibility.
Dare to dream big as Mandela! Connect, collaborate and grow for a better future. Society needs more people like you! I am doing my part, I am doing my best to walk my talk. And you?
